Yu Ming Lee – President
Degree: BA Classical Archaeology and Ancient History
College: Somerville
Weapon: Sabre
Contact: president.oufc@gmail.comHi, I'm Ming and I'm your President this year. My role as president is to ensure the smooth running of the club - that we have places to train, gear to use and a safe and friendly environment in which we can attack each other with swords. Please reach out if you have any questions or enquiries. I'm always available for a chat. When I'm not at fencing, you may find me pawing morosely at artefacts in the Ashmolean. I've been fencing for 8 years and been at OUFC for 1.
Favourite OUFC Memory: Travelling to Durham with a three man squad to fence all weapons in the Men's Blues League knockout competition - 17 hours well spent!

Contact: secretary.oufc@gmail.comHi! I'm Peter, and I'll be your club Secretary for this year. I am a med student and member of the M2 squad (and a disappointment in both aspects), who as secretary will have to organise stash along with having an undeserved sense of superiority. I've been fencing for 4 years and been at OUFC for 3.
Favourite OUFC Memory: The 3-man M1 trip to Durham for a BUCS knockout (and going to Spoons immediately on return).

Contact: welfare.oufc@gmail.comHi, Ruoqi here and I'll be one of your Welfare Officers this year. My job includes ensuring everyone in OUFC is being healthy, supported and welcomed. As Welfare Officers, we also organize activities across the academic year to make sure you have a good time here at OUFC! As a welfare officer, I will always be here to listen, support, and connect you with resources that can help. Please don't hesitate to drop by if you ever need welfare-related assistance or are simply looking for someone to talk to! When I'm not on the piste, you may catch me running my psychology studies, trying out new recipes, or going for birdwatching trips. I've been fencing since 10 years old, but fenced sabre from high school.
Favorite OUFC Memory: Would be "memories" rather than "memory" for me, and they are when we have returned to Oxford safely from away matches.

Carl Hentges - Welfare Officer
Degree: DPhil Robotics
College: Linacre
Weapon: Sabre
Contact: welfare.oufc@gmail.comHi, I’m Carl! I started fencing sabre when I began university and have been hooked ever since. I believe this club is truly special, and I’m excited to be your Welfare Officer this year. I’ve previously served as Men's Blues Captain and Men's Seconds Captain before coming to Oxford, and I’m passionate about both the competitive and social sides of the club. My aim is to ensure everyone can thrive, both on and off the piste. Outside of fencing, I enjoy sailing and cycling (if you’re into cycling, a few of us fencers often go for weekend rides and breakfast). Lately, I’ve also become obsessed with analogue photography. Oh, and I’m also doing a PhD in Robotics—though that should probably be higher up on my priority list!
Favorite OUFC Memory: So many good memories, but Varsity memories are my favourite
